| Responsibilities: |
Nuance's Mobility Division develops cutting-edge multimodal applications which integrate embedded and network-based speech with visual and keypad modalities. These applications improve the mobile user experience by making the search, messaging and device control task flows easier and more intuitive given the constraints of small keypads. Nuance Communications is looking for an individual to take ownership of two of our exciting products - the T9Nav Carrier Offer and the T9Nav OEM Offer - http://www.t9nav.com/ Major functions: - Provide strategic ownership of the T9Nav product line by establishing short term and long term product goals. This includes:
- writing product specifications,
- researching market and competitive dynamics
- driving the T9Nav release process through Nuance's TTM process for executive approval of product investments.
- Make ongoing recommendations to the Nuance executive team for program direction, investments and divestments, based on thorough business analysis such as financial models and market data.
- Engage closely with engineering and application integration teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as reasonable execution schedules.
- Initiate and prioritize projects within engineering and professional services; track product development and integration projects
- Engage closely with Nuance Mobility Marketing organization to provide comprehensive product support for sales initiatives and marketing programs, including assistance with content creation, specific travel for deal support, providing feedback on specific deal economics, and soliciting feedback for requirements, participating in industry events as an expert in mobile applications.
- Engage closely with the Nuance Mobility Finance organization to develop product P&Ls
- Lead a cross-functional internal team (e.g. sales, client services, marketing, legal, etc.) to ensure successful product releases and sales opportunity support.
- Establish short and long term product goals and strategies.
- Travel required: 15%.

| Qualifications: |
- Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred.
- 5+ years experience as product manager with at least 2 years experience with mobile technologies.
- Experience working with, or for, OEM'S such as Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, LG.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
