Summary: The Nuance OEM Imaging Sales Engineer works along side regional sales reps on various aspects of the sales process and provides technical assistance and expertise to move the sales cycle to a close. The OEM Sales Engineer assists developers and OEM partners with product and industry knowledge enabling them to more effectively utilize Nuance Document Imaging products, adding value to their offerings
•Works deals assigned to the supported sales team, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit as directed by the Alliance Manger or Sales Manager. Prepares proposals, presentations, handling technical Q&A, performing product demo to the partners, release products to customers.
•Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address partners or their customer requirements and recommends solutions that optimize value and cost for both customers and Nuance. May be required to understand customers/partners product lines which compose the technical solutions.
•Acts as the first-line technical contact for the partners. Secures customer’s buy-in of Nuance product lines and becomes a trusted technical partner.
•Meets profitable sales growth targets in assigned product lines, partners, channel, and market areas.
•Pursues additional business development opportunities within customers, partners and channels. Collaborates with Sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered.
•Monitors customer support for technical solutions throughout the sales process, and alerts Sales to potential risk.
•Work with customers who are evaluating the OmniPage SDK, providing them design assistance, tips, and tricks to best utilize the SDK based on their use case or application.
•Position OmniPage SDK against our competition by understanding the benefits of OP relative to competitive solutions. This requires an understanding of competitive product and what is important ot developers.
•Create sample code and reusable knowledge base items for developer re-use.
•Maintain communication with people at all levels internally as well as with customers/partners, ensuring the proper and current flow of technical information from and to the account.
•Provide feedback to the Product Management organization within Marketing and/or R&D on the technical requirements in the market and application ideas.
•Collaboration in the preparation and delivery of technical partner/customer training
Number of Years of Work Experience: 3 years minimum in IT solution delivery experiences
Education: University or College graduate
