Job Summary

 

Position Summary: As a member of the Nuance Professional Services development team, you will be involved in the implementation of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Voice Biometrics applications for enterprise firms seeking to improve their customer self-service automation and security.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Projects involve multiple technical environments with a high level of customer interaction. You will be working in the full life cycle of projects including requirements, architecture and designs, implementation, testing, installation, documentation, and providing maintenance and support. Occasional travel may be required.

 

Work Experience: 2 to 5 years. 

Required Skills and experience:

  • Experience with Java and .NET
  • Software installation, configuration, deployment, and support, on Windows and Linux
  • Databases (i.e. MSSQL, Oracle).
  • VoIP, SIP
  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, switches, firewalls, and routers)
  • Virtualization
  • Network diagnostic tools (e.g. WireShark)
  • Web technologies such as HTTP, load balancers, web application servers, SSL/TLS certificates
  • Able to write and maintain Shell/PowerShell/Python scripts
  • Excellent time management skills are required to fulfill customer project delivery commitments.
  • Fluency in English required (reading, writing, speaking)

 Preferred Skills:

Experience with:

  • Telephony (PBX, call routing, etc)
  • Load generation tools such as JMeter, RTPReplay, etc
  • IVR platforms (including installation) of the industry-leading providers (Avaya, Genesys, Cisco)
  • Ability to interact professionally and confidently with customers.
  • Working knowledge of French and Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Have current valid passport that will allow travel between the US and Canada, and sometimes in Europe.

 

Education:CEGEP or Bachelor degree, and 2+ year Telecom and Contact (Call) Center related experience.
