Job Summary



Exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individual with a combination of good “people” skills and technology skills to be developed into an established Software Solutions Sales Engineer. 


Working alongside and supporting a dynamic Sales team which are focused on selling Nuance OMNI-Channel Software Solutions to leading German companies in the telecommunication, banking, government, insurance and automotive sectors across the DACH region.


Working with peers and management to solve customer care and customer acquisition business problems using Nuance award winning digital, voice and security products, powered by Artificial Intelligence technology and deployed by stellar professional services teams.


Providing support and oversight for back office tools and sites, Visual Basic, macro, JIVE, and web programming to support or customize Microsoft Office tools. Assisting with sales process work flows for getting client paperwork approved and assisting more Senior Sales Engineers with customer facing documents.



  • Assist with creation of draft versions of Statement of Works (SOWs), Proposals, and Term sheets
  • Assist with creation of pricing estimates for Nuance product license sales
  • Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP) responses
  • Help to build demos and presentations for Clients.
  • Presentation assistance - research customers, track down and document existing systems, organize info
  • Create Visio diagrams used for estimates and proposals for Clients.
  • Monitor and track status of contracts in the Contract Management System (CMS)
  • Open DSRs (Deal Support Requests) in Salesforce
  • Be a regional system administrator for internal SE web sites used to store tools and customer facing documents. Example: Jive (the “Voice”), SharePoint, (SFDC), OneNote
  • Create and maintain various templates for Proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), Term Sheets and Return On Investment (ROI) tools.
  • Maintain and update the internal estimating Excel tool macros
  • Maintain best practice and standards documentation for the SE team




Required Skills:

  • Number of years of work experience: 0-5 years.
  • Excellent English and German technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience and skills with Visual Basic and building macros and tools in Word or Excel.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to function with little oversight.
  • Ability to function in a team and an office environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables with varying deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the software solutions space.
  • Experience in a customer facing role.


Education: Bachelor's Degree. Preference for Computer Information, Computer Science, or Engineering degrees
