Job Summary

We are growing our team in Budapast and need a Software Developer who will be responsible for creating modules and subsystems/applications in C, C++ for Nuance Document Imaging PDF products. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Enhancing the PDF products especially based on feedback delivered by the field, you'll do this working independently but as part of a group under the direction of a team lead
  • The work primarily involves C and C++ but occasionally also using other development tools and languages.
  • Produce high quality software including the creation of detailed technical documentation.
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates for project deliverables.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting, debugging, and fixing of issues during development and post-release for customer support.
  • Interface with Quality Assurance to ensure testability, coverage, and quality.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and recommend technologies in the creation of new functionality and products.
  • Provide peer-level reviews of software design and code
  • Interacting regularly with other Developers, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and the Customer Support organization.

Required Skills:

  • Around 4 years working experience developing with C++/ C -- C# is also useful
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, a source code management system (TFS, Subversion,…) and a defect tracking system
  • Experience with code analysis tools and peer code reviews
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a team and independently

Preferred Skills: 

  • Familiarity in image processing and pattern matching technologies; knowledge of PDF file format and tools.
  • Experience with Linux, Android and iOS systems.

Education: Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
