Job Summary

We are expanding our Budapest team and looking for a Test Automation - Software Engineer with scripting knowledge in either C#, C++, Java to work as a member of the Automation team. You'll be responsible for the automated testing of CSDK builds destined for internal or external customers on different OS-es and platforms, compiling and running sample and regression codes, verifying new features, bug fixes and enhancements using custom source codes. You will use and develop test documentation including test plans and cases, execute and develop manual and automated tests, analyze and troubleshoot issues, and participate in development and product discussions and presentations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Individually contribute in the planning, development, and execution of tests against software products to ensure requirements have been met
  • Write, compile and run sample and regression codes, verify new features, bug fixes and enhancements
  • Work with the development team to ensure all requirements have been tested, defects have been identified and documented, impacts have been assessed, and resolutions provided
  • Create and maintain test documentation such as test plans and test reports and review documentation created by QA team members for accuracy and completeness
  • Interact with team members and other groups to troubleshoot and resolve quality defects and issues identified during the testing process and post-release of the product
  • Represent QA activities in multi-function team meetings, including presentations and discussions on product test coverage, test status, and release readiness reviews

Number of Years of Work Experience: 3+ years in a software development and/or testing

 

Required Skills: 

  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows clients and servers
  • Understanding of and hands-on work with networked computer systems.
  • At least intermediate programming skills in C#, C++, Java or scripting languages
  • Ability to follow a systematic and progressive process when troubleshooting and solving problems.
  • Ability to create and execute test plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communications in English demonstrated through the creation of test plans, defect documentation, and summary presentations.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, a source code management system (TFS, Git) and a defect tracking system
  • Experience with Linux, Android and iOS systems.
  • Experience with C, C++ and C# programming.

Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent
