Job Summary

The Sr Network Security Engineer will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering Team that designs, implements, maintains, troubleshoots and audits the  network infrastructure in both physical and cloud environments. The scope includes perimeter security and internal zones, supporting devices and technologies such as firewalls, ACLs, IPS, WAF, VPN (IPSEC), DoS (all variants) protection.  The Engineer will also be asked to perform network troubleshooting, which includes detection and remediation of issues like degraded performance, packet loss, routing issues, among others.



  • Must have ability to troubleshoot, at a senior (tier 3/4) level, network/system and security-related issues in a production environment
  • Firewall and IPS troubleshooting, monitoring, deployment and administration
  • VPN troubleshooting, monitoring, deployment and administration
  • Cloud based security related support, monitoring and management
  • Vulnerability remediation based on External Audits and internal compliance and regulatory requirements
  • On Call support on a rotation basis
  • Analyze network data for security flaws
  • Recommend process improvements for a secure environment
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and their impact on the company
  • Awareness of current vulnerabilities and security concerns and their impact on the company




  • Develop a FW lifecycle (HW/SW)
  • Review ACL/FW requests
  • Plan/execute Security/Compliance remediation plans
  • Create an Edge protection plan (FW,IPS,WAF) for physical and cloud environments
  • Monitor latest threats and act from the network point of view
  • Create and troubleshoot VPNs
  • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for secure



Minimum years of work experience: 8


Required skills:

  • Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux & Windows)
  • Solid troubleshooting skills
  • Solid network engineering principals
  • Strong understanding of compliance standards (SOX, PCI, etc…)
  • Strong in routing and switching (BGP/OSPF/ACL)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong Network Security skills (VPN,IPSEC,IPS/NGFW,WAF,FW)
  • Good understanding of agile/scrum
  • Good understanding of cloud computing
  • Good understanding of large scale data centers


Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, KMV etc…)
  • Packet capture (tcpdump, wireshark analysis)
  • Fortinet IPS/WAF
  • F5
