Job Summary

Perform Enterprise software configuration and testing, works out and maintains test cases.

Position requires an excellent understanding of the entire software product development lifecycle, from requirements through post-release, with a solid emphasis on testing processes and best practices.

The candidate should have 2-8 years of testing experience and will report directly to the QA Manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans, and task schedules for assigned areas of testing responsibilities
  • Build test configurations for complicated software modules and subsystems
  • Execute such tests on a regular basis, communicates and documents results
  • Routinely communicates and collaborates with peer SQA and developments staff
  • Identify opportunities for process, technical and tool improvements. Presents new concepts to team and takes initiative with implementation.
  • Mentor more junior SQA staff
  • Practice effective risk management strategies to streamline test efforts without sacrificing quality

Required Skills:

  • Skills and experience required for the role:
  • Understanding of Client-Server systems in general
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and networks
  • Junior IT level understanding of physical networks
  • Experience with document management applications
  • Familiarity with enterprise printing solutions and imaging
  • Motivated and positive team player
  • Self-learner
  • Strong work ethic and flexible attitude
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to partner sites

Familiarity with the following

  • iManage
  • OpenText eDOCS
  • OpenText Livelink
  • LDAP familiarity
  • SQLServer 2005, 2008
  • Industry level scanning and printing solutions (MFPs)
  • Equitrac Office and/or Professional
  • Mobile devices (tablets, smart phones)     

Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent
