Continuously monitoring the threat landscape, to ensure we are always preparing for what comes next and adapting our strategy as needed, when needed, and focusing on the right techniques.
Maintaining security guidance for operating system security, network security, incident detection and response.
Participating in the governance process and contributing to security policy development.
Acting as a security consultant for various IT projects in multiple divisions.
Integrating multiple systems together to create semi-automated and automated workflows, leveraging data from multiple platforms.
Analyzing threat data and acting as an escalation point for the security operations team
Perform regular additional security related tasks as assigned.
Education: Computer Science degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum years of work experience: 5
Solid understandings of network and systems security, as well as cloud security.
Knowledge of enterprise level SIEM or log management systems
Ability to write scripts using a common language such as Python, Ruby or Go
Solid understanding of networking concepts
Linux, Windows system administration skills
Ability to multi-task under strict deadlines
Professional and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively and contribute within a team environment
Experience with security related technical tools and processes is required
CISSP or equivalent security certification is required.
Experience with compliance frameworks, regulations, etc., such as PCI DSS, HITRUST or HIPAA
This position is responsible for supporting Nuance’s security program. This role will work alongside development, operations, professional services and management to lead the development and implementation of technical controls throughout the software development life cycle. The individual will work with the various functions to evaluate and design security controls.
