Nuance operates a 24x7 Network Operations Centre which monitors the end to end solution provided to our customers. The Enterprise Monitoring team works closely with the NOC, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Data Engineering, and R&D teams to ensure complete monitoring coverage of all Nuance Enterprise services and systems.
This position will be responsible for coordinating the Monitoring team’s day to day work in addition to identifying and driving process and work-flow improvements.
Design and implement state of the art system and customer experience monitoring solutions
Provide back up oncall support
Drive bi-weekly sprint planning meetings
Design and develop automation
Manage day to day escalations
Ensure consistent high quality of work and ticket handling
Drive internal improvements and projects
Minimum years of work experience: 5+
Strong analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to generate meaningful reports from various data sources.
Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply this to day-to-day work activities.
Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems as well as knowledge of key business functions and processes.
Implementation and administration knowledge of standard monitoring suites including Zenoss and SolarWindsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong experience using and developing on standard databases including Oracle, MS SQL, and Couchbase.
Demonstrate the ability to write new and troubleshoot existing scripts in languages such as Power Shell, Linux shell, Pearl, and Python.
Strong administrative experience with operating systems including Windows Server (2012 / 2016), Oracle RedHat Linux and CentOS.
Protocol Analysis, network performance analysis, network capacity planning, and network troubleshooting.
Familiarity and experience with transactional tools such as Empirix Hammer.
Familiar with SAN / NAS based data storage.
Familiarity and experience with tools and services like BigPanda, ELK Stack, and Nagios.
Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science preferred
