Job Summary

Summary: The Curriculum Specialist will be responsible for creating curriculum; leader led presentations, web-based trainings, job aids, learning guides, for client launches, new product development and internal team needs. In addition, the Curriculum Specialist will support services in instructional design, determining LMS courses, strategies, assessment, technology, and distributed learning for instructional development projects. High requirement of understanding, improving, and applying methods of instruction to bring desired changes in learner knowledge and skills working against assertive deadlines.



  • Coordinates instructional design projects from inception to completion; enters data into database (LMS), and maintains files and records. 
  • Conducts needs assessment by interfacing: works with customers and Subject Mater Experts to identify training needs.
  • Consults with faculty on instructional design and learning objectives.
  • Assists in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices.
  • Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and college information needs.
  • Researches and makes recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers rough drafts to training and affected staff for the purpose of optimization and right need concept.
  • Facilitates curriculum development sessions, documents findings, and communicates progress.
  • Assess competitors from a curriculum perspective. 
  • Develop product videos for clients and employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for secure

Required Skills:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet 
  • software and Database software. 
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within instructional design field; training, sales, C/S, 
  • operations, needs analysis, knowledge transfer, Bloom Taxonomy, ADDIE model. 
  • Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the 
  • essential functions of the job can be performed
  • Works under general supervision


Preferred Skills:  Instructional Design certified. Training background preferred; Trainer.


Education: 2 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in classroom delivery and facilitation
