The User Interface practice at Nuance is responsible for designing conversational interactions that enable people to interact easily with machines using their voice. We craft the experiences people have when speaking with smartphones, laptops, and automated phone systems. Our responsibilities include understanding the needs of users; designing around those needs; and testing the usability of our designs once the software is built. We are a highly diverse team whose backgrounds span linguistics, engineering, sound design, graphic design, and creative writing.
As an Intern, you will help the Enterprise UI Design team create speech-enabled user experiences that are natural and intuitive. Your contributions will include meeting with customers, gathering business requirements for projects, designing engaging speech interfaces, and conducting research with end users. In addition, you may also help us collect quantitative research that leads to the refinement of our best design practices. You will learn from us – and hopefully, we will learn from you.
