    Job Summary

    The Mobile BU Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support R&D and Mobile Hosting Operations functions of Mobile BU.  The analyst will be working cross-divisionally to support financial planning and analysis activities focused on R&D and Mobile Hosting Ops.  We are looking for a team player that is willing to roll up their sleeves, eager to learn and grow, and comfortable dealing with changes.  The position requires an extremely high degree of accuracy and detail orientation with strict adherence to deadlines.  This position will report to the Senior Manager of Mobile Finance.

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis to ensure expense are planned and justified; analyze plans and forecasts to identify risks and opportunities to the projection
    • Manage monthly close; analyze monthly accounting activity to ensure accuracy, timeliness and appropriate expense treatment
    • Partner with BU Ops and accounting teams to identify and solve root causes of financial and operational issues
    • Work with other team members to identify key cost drivers and establish monthly and quarterly performance report
    • Prepare financial reporting to business partners & internal finance functions on a monthly, quarterly and ad hoc basis
    • Partner with function leaders to develop fiscal year budget and quarterly forecasts and communicate cross divisions 
    • Review, analyze, and approve purchase requisitions for accuracy, proper expense treatment and compliance with fiscal budget and accounting parameters
    • Provide deal support analysis as needed
    • Other ad hoc finance projects
    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for secure.

    Required skills:

     

    • Minimum years of work experience: 3-4
    • Business and financial planning related experience
    • Ability to process and analyze massive data
    • Oracle/Hyperion/Essbase experience and proficient in Excel

     

    Preferred skills:

    • Comfortable wearing multiple hats, ranging from leading finance discussions to working with data to provide thoughtful analysis 
    • Self directed, self motivated and demonstrated experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding 
    • Must be able to listen and interpret the requirements of internal clients, plan accordingly and meet or exceed expectations 
    • Exemplifies initiative, intelligence, integrity and strives for continuous improvement 
    • Strong written, presentation and verbal skills

     

     Education: BS Degree
