    Job Summary

    Dynamic SQL DBA needed with a great working knowledge of Azure, SQL 2012-16, PowerShell and T-SQL scripting. This is a leadership

    position and must be able to work with cross functional teams in a very high paced environment. Excellent leadership skills are a must. There is

    an On-Call rotation.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide engineering and operational support for a production environment consisting of 800+ Microsoft SQL databases across 50+ database servers both on-prem as well as Azure.
    • Manage HA/DR solutions such as Clustering and Always On
    • Monitor the servers using Idera or any other monitoring software.
    • Manage the database security. Consistently research threats and implement recommended solutions.
    • Coordinate database release/support activities with multiple teams
    • Maintain the lifecycle for Microsoft SQL Server databases
    • Adhere to our database standards, best practices, methodologies, processes and procedures, etc
    • Research new technologies to enhance performance, heighten security, ensure uptime, and automate common/redundant administrative duties
    • Define and maintain critical documentation including: Database Standards, Administrative Techniques,
    • Troubleshooting Techniques, Processes, Rules and Regulations, Change Management, Best Practices, etc.
    • Provide assistance in the adherence to all regulations and assist in the preparation of documentation for audit responses.
    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for secure.


    Job Requirements:

    • 8+ years IT experience
    • Multi years Database Administration MSSQL 2012, 2014 and 2016(both on-prem and Azure)
    • Ability to work through select Oracle problems.
    • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
    • Very strong SQL and PowerShell scripting experience, mainly to develop solutions for, maintain and troubleshoot
    • SQL and Azure issues
    • Strategic, structured, and focused thinker who has strong analytical and problem solving skills



    Education: BS or MS in Computer Science.


    Minimum years of work experience: 10


    Required skills: SQL 2012-16, Microsoft Azure, T-SQL, PowerShell and at least one more non RDBMS database


    Preferred skills: Some working knowledge of Oracl
