    Job Summary

     

     

    Summary: The position reports to the Manager of Sales Engineering, Enterprise Americas. The Associate Sales Engineer (ASE) will work with peers and management to solve Client business problems using Nuance products and professional services. This position requires a unique combination of good “people” skills, sales skills, writing skills and technology skills. The Associate SE will support the Account Executive and Sales Engineer team by helping with customer facing documents like Statements of Work, Proposals, and Requests for Proposals. Also, by providing support and oversight for back-office tools and internal sites, including some Visual Basic, macro, JIVE, and web programming to support or customize Microsoft Office tools. Associate SE will also begin to learn, train and be certified on the Nuance Enterprise suite of products.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Create first draft versions of Statement of Works (SOWs), Proposals, and Term sheets
    • Create pricing estimates for Nuance product license sales
    • Help to build demos and presentations for Clients.
    • Presentation assistance - research customers, track down and document existing systems, organize info
    • Create Visio diagrams used for estimates and proposals for Clients.
    • Monitor and track status of contracts in the Contract Management System (CMS)
    • Open DSR’s (Deal Support Requests) in Salesforce
    • Be a system administrator for internal SE websites used to store tools and customer-facing documents. Example: Jive (the “Voice”), SharePoint, SalesForce.com (SFDC), OneNote
    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for security

     

    Qualifications

    • The number of years of work experience: 0-2 years.
    • Excellent English technical writing skills. A secondary language is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
    • Experience and skills with Visual Basic and building macros and tools in Word or Excel.
    • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
    • Self-motivated with an ability to function with little oversight.
    • Ability to function in a team and an office environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables with varying deadlines.
    • Experience in the software solutions spaces a plus.
    • Bachelor's Degree. Preference for Computer Information, Technical Writing or Communications.

     

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience or Education in Technical Writing
    • Experience creating proposals, statements of work and/or responding to RFP’s
    • Basic understanding of web development technologies (Java, Tagging, Analytics)
    • Relevant enterprise industry experience (contact center, speech, IVR, web/mobile, Artificial Intelligence)
