    Job Summary

    Reporting to PS Manager APAC, will be responsible for management of a program to continue support of a key, strategic partner in China.  You will be exposed to Nuance’s industry leading speech products (ASR and TTS) built on AI and Machine Learning technologies, Nuance PS process as well as working with Nuance’s R&D teams managing delivery of projects to deliver new language capability.  This role will be suited to Project Managers who love to understand the technical details and wish to contribute at a technical level.

    You will help the partner to build a delivery organization comparable to Nuance for the China market.   It will require management of the contractual deliveries, work across the Nuance R&D and PS organisations to support deliveries in to the partner, provide technical support and guidance on implementation approach as well as application of Nuance technology, and support the partner with sales opportunities.

    You will be supported by a global team of technical experts to build your understanding of Nuance products and process to set you up for success in this role.

     

    Principal duties and responsibilities:

    • Project management duties – forecasting, reporting, invoicing
    • Provide technical support / guidance on Nuance’s speech products and overall solution architecture.
    • Support partner’s project management practice and provide practical support for projects
    • Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders within the partner organization to ensure effective delivery of products and services to the partner.
    • Manage the PMO activity within the program feeding into the overall APAC/J PMO reporting
    • Lead and support weekly and quarterly operations reviews
    • Where necessary support partner’s sales team to maintain and grow their business
    • Ensure team compliance with Nuance business processes and policy (time tracking, expense reporting, etc.)

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree, Masters or advanced degree desirable

     

    Minimum years of work experience: 7+

     

    Required skills:

    • Good English skills.
    • Proven track record of both hands on and project management of significant telecommunications or contact center projects demonstrating success in the Duties and Responsibilities like outlined above.
    • Technical skills.  Experience in project in a technical capacity, for example software development, release management, quality assurance, technical leadership/solution architect etc. where responsibilities included hands on, technical tasks.
    • Practical skills.   Must be able to conceive and produce own deliverables including high quality plans, reports, spreadsheets, documents, etc.  and not be reliant on a team to support this production
    • Strong hands on project management skills
    • Good analytical and decision-making skills
    • Ability to positively promote high standards and ideals, while managing with a degree of pragmatism being cognizant of commercial/business realities
    • Self-aware.  Confident enough in their own strengths to reflect honestly and critically on their own performance and weaknesses.
    • Ability to listen well, put themselves in the other party’s shoes and negotiate while maintaining a balanced unemotional demeanor
    • Resilient with a relaxed communication style

    Preferred skills:

    • Project Management certification/s
    • Entrepreneurial outlook, drive and experience.
    • Experience in consulting and customer facing roles
