    Job Summary

    iScribes, now a part of Nuance, is a technology-enabled service which provides physicians with an effortless clinical documentation solution, freeing them to spend more time with patients and less time with computers. Our solution changes the lives of doctors and patients, and our close-knit team is dedicated to a mission of making healthcare functional and efficient. As our team rapidly expands, we are seeking a driven and analytical individual to join our team and help guide business decisions with data and analysis.


    As a business data analyst at iScribes, you will work closely with our director of operations to gather and analyze data on operations across all departments in the business. A curious, analytical mind, a drive to learn, and the ability to turn data into insight are more important than a deep understanding of formal statistical techniques. This role provides a great opportunity to develop your skills and directly impact management decisions.


    This candidate will join our core team in the heart of the startup community in downtown Durham, NC.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with department leaders to define key metrics, develop systems for data collection, and design regular management reports which you will prepare on an ongoing basis.
    • Collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to design efficient/automated workflows to facilitate data collection and reporting.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer business questions that inform management decisions.
    • Use visualization techniques to analyze data and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
    • Prepare written and verbal presentations to summarize and communicate the results of your analyses.
    • Execute business processes which primarily rely on aggregation, summarization and reporting of data from various sources.
    • Prepare and update financial models and analyses.


    Required qualifications:

    • 2+ years of work experience as a data analyst, business analyst or similar role.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to effectively interpret and extract meaning from data.
    • Ability to effectively communicate quantitative data in verbal and written reports.
    • Ability to use data visualization techniques to explore data and communicate findings.


    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with Python Pandas, R, Tableau, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, Google Apps Script, SQL queries.
    • Financial modeling experience, including P&L forecasts and ROI calculations.
    • Salesforce experience.
    • Healthcare industry experience.
