    Job Summary

    Summary:

     

    Provide first line legal support to Nuance’s Healthcare Clinical Documentation and Clintegrity business units in the US and Canada. Strong focus on negotiating commercial contracts, supporting our Sales team, and providing related contracting advice.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide first line legal support to Nuance’s Healthcare Clinical Documentation and Clintegrity business units.
    • Contribute to the work of Nuance's North American legal group, supporting Nuance’s business in the US and Canada.
    • Focus particularly on the drafting and negotiation of varied and complex contracts with end customers and channel partners, including: hosted service offerings and related documents (e.g., schedules, orders and information security agreements), software license and professional services agreements, BAAs and NDAs.
    • Provide contracting advice to Sales and Professional Service departments on a daily basis as needed.
    • Work closely with revenue Finance, Sales and Sales Operations teams to facilitate the processing of Sales deals.
    • Provide training and general guidance to Sales teams within the region as needed.
    • Ensure that all contracts are properly administered and recorded via a contract management system.
    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

     

    Education:

    • Minimum BA/BS, Preferred CMS or Paralegal certification

     

    Minimum years of work experience:

    • 3-5 Years

     

    Required skills:

    • Well developed communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Experience working as a contract negotiator in the Health Care or IT sectors desirable
    • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, although all candidates with relevant skills are invited to apply
    • Team player with flexible, pragmatic approach and sound business acumen
    • Ability to multi-task and work with a substantially high degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness

     

    Preferred skills:

    • Strong negotiation skills in "customer facing" transactions
