    Job Summary

    The Sr. Director of Program Management reports to the SVP of Engineering and is responsible for the overall governance and project management of the portfolio programs of Nuance Healthcare R&D.  Leading a team of project managers, they are responsible for implementing PMO processes and policies, managing the overall execution of active programs and projects to ensure that they meet the organizational goals and requirements. 
     
    Responsibilities:

    • Build COE for Agile process throughout healthcare R&D
    • Manage the beta programs. The beta managers will report in to this person
    • Lead team of project managers
    • Develops strategic and integrated plans for programs and projects in the portfolio
    • Ensures that programs and projects are being executed in accordance with established business objectives and roadmap adhering to timelines and budget
    • Manages holistic resource forecasting and planning across cross functional teams
    • Oversees and coordinates the procurement of project related staffing
    • Governs consistent processes, tools and guidelines for the various programs and ensures that they are followed
    • Accountable for portfolio financial performance
    • Provide visibility to executive staff and key departmental leaders on status of programs including progress, productivity, costs, risk and quality metrics
    • Escalation point for all project related resource conflicts, risks and issues
    • Engage in development, performance assessments, and succession planning for project managers
    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing
    • Help lead engineering modernization initiative in partnership with healthcare teams & leaders


    Number of Years of Work Experience: 7 Years +
     
    Required Skills:


    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
    • 4+ years of experience leading teams of Project Managers
    • Demonstrated success handling initiatives of high complexity and risk
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences
    • Proven listening, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills


    Preferred Skills:


    • Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills
    • Great leadership skills and ability to inspire cross-functional team members
    • Certification in Agile, Pragmatic Marketing or Sirius Decisions is a plus


    Education: An undergraduate degree or equivalent is required.  An MBA is preferred
