    Job Summary

    The Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will report to the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, with constant exposure to executive management. The right candidate should be a self-starter who is detail oriented, result-driven, communicative and collaborative. This individual should be someone who enjoys learning in a fast pace environment and is promotable to a manager role within one or two years.

     

    Principal duties and responsibilities:

     

    • Assist the team in rolling forward/updating the 10-K/10-Q/8-K in Workiva and preparing/compiling the support schedules of financial statements, including but not limited to: balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, equity roll forward, and miscellaneous footnotes.
    • Prepare the support binder for 10-K/10-Q/8-K and assist the team in performing quality check of SEC documents.
    • Assist in the quarterly stock compensation accounting process, including but not limited to: running reports from Equity Edge, reviewing/reconciling data, preparing journal entries and doing flux analysis.
    • Maintain the accounting related to certain accounts (goodwill, intangible assets, deferred acquisition payments etc) and prepare periodic account analysis.
    • Maintain external reporting calendar including scheduling and coordination of independent auditors.
    • Assist with the research of technical accounting and reporting issues, including evaluating the impact of new accounting guidance on the Company’s financial statements, as required.
    • Assist with the ongoing compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley. Identify process improvements and assist in the implementation of related processes, policies and procedures to enhance the control environment.
    • Support other processes including goodwill/intangible impairment review and the accounting and reporting efforts related to divestures, acquisitions, debt offerings/repayment and other usual transactions.

    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

     

    Qualifications – 

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in accounting or business-related discipline.

     

    Experience: 3 +years of related experience, with prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm highly preferred.

     

    Required skills: Excel (pivot table), Oracle, Hyperion, Workiva

     

    Preferred skills: Big four audit experience, Equity Edge, software industry experience, experience with auditing/preparing financial statements.
