Job Summary

Position summary:

 

In this REMOTE manager role, you will manage (up to 13 people) coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.  Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.  Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among consultant members that allows for discussions over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.  Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.  Lead employees using Nuance’s performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.  Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.  Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.  Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and most importantly time and expense reporting.  Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations clear and concise paying attention to product implementation consulting delivery best practices are followed.
  • Manage Application Consulting staff in the Diagnostic Healthcare division ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Mentor new employees in new and existing roles to ensure positive outcomes and high performance delivery.
  • Responsible for annual performance evaluations of your team and ensuring they are on par with goals and objectives quarterly.
  • Interviewing, hiring, mentoring, and training to deliver world class consulting to our internal & external customers.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provide guidance, expertise, and consulting to internal/external customers in the assessment of application design, application use/efficiency, and training needs providing delegation of services and deliveries as needed to ensure customer positive outcomes.
  • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree with related relevant application consulting and training experience with advanced technical knowledge. Or equivalent work experience CTT certification a plus.

 

Minimum years of work experience:

  • 8 years
  • Must have at least 5 years working on diagnostic product platform supporting and delivering consulting services on product line. 
  • Must have 3 years’ experience mentoring new employees in the field on product delivery.

Required skills:

  • Able to resolve product/software problems utilizing technical support services when necessary via on-site, telephone, both verbally and through remote communication.
  • Superior written, oral, and presentation abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC, software, hardware, telephony and operating system skills for training, testing and troubleshooting required.
  • Overnight domestic travel 50% or greater.
  • Training and Technical Certifications preferred.
  • Healthcare background preferred.
