    Job Summary


    Kickstart your career with this unique internship opportunity at Nuance’s global headquarters in Burlington, MA as part of the People Team. The Talent & Org Development Intern will partner closely with the broader T&OD team and other People Team members to work on some of our most critical programs and initiatives. As the T&OD Intern you will learn on-the-job as you support efforts in employee engagement and listening surveys, performance management programs, manager and leadership development, diversity & inclusion programs, and various other culture and talent initiatives.


    This is a challenging internship for a highly motivated graduate student in a related field (I/O Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, MBA). The ideal candidate will be collaborative, enthusiastic, resourceful, and take initiative; with good project management skills, ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and have strong analytical, written and verbal communication.


    Nuance’s 2020 Internship Program includes a large cohort of interns from across the business who collaborate and interact with one another each week in exciting and engagement activities, including: leadership talks, volunteer activities, social events, and innovation and product demos


    Key Responsibilities:

    Under the direction of the T&OD leadership team, you would support projects related to:

    • Execution of Nuance’s annual engagement survey, including data collection, interpreting and analyzing results, report creation, and developing training resources
    • Support the launch of Nuance’s annual performance appraisal process, including talent system setup, administration support, and manager and employee training resource development
    • Support in developing and implementing Manager & Leadership Development programs to a global employee population
    • Assist in completion and submission of external diversity and employer of choice surveys
    • Collaborate with T&OD and Recruitment Team on Nuance’s global onboarding program
    • Partner with key stakeholders across the T&OD and People Team on project management of career development and culture initiatives



    • Must be enrolled in graduate program, pursuing a degree in a field related to I/O Psychology, Human Resource, Organizational Behavior, or Business
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work both in a team and individually
    • Self-motivated and driven desire to produce results
    • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail
    • Effectively handles confidential information with professionalism and discretion
    • Proficient in MS Office Skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
